Repertoire:
Please consider the repertoire suggestions below as you prepare to attend the SVI. Having several pieces that are already well prepared will give you the flexibility to play different pieces for different teachers.

When you have decided on what you will play while you are here, please email me your list: bmilton@northwestern.edu. This information is necessary in preparing the daily schedule.

If you find that you are not able to attend the workshop, please contact me to let me know.

Repertoire recommendation:
Bring several works (3-4)  that you already know well, in addition to the music you are currently working on.

Examples:

  • concerto
  • sonata with piano
  • virtuoso piece
  • Bach
  • Ysaye
  • caprice – Paganini, Wieniawski, Beriot
  • orchestra excerpts

Important: When you have decided on what you will play while you are here, please email me your list: bmilton@northwestern.edu.
